Religious Holiday and Plenty of Fun Part 2:

While the holidays seem a bit distant now, this blog is as much of a record keeping exercise as it is a forum to keep it touch...so this is a bit late but who cares!?

My good Friday started early with a Tarrant, a good friend, being dropped off at my house by his long suffering wife...off to wok at the local hospital doing her equivalent of a "Zuma year" here. What is there to do at my "house" (read apartment)? You can eat, cook, work, sleep, ablute and relax at a push...not a big venue for socializing, TV watching (no TV) etc... So off we trotted at around 8am to The Wine House aka 100 Osmond Terrace Norwood. This is the venue of many a party and has been inhabited by a number of wine students over the years earning its name... It is now home to three fine young woman from the land of stars, stripes, Zinfandel, Obama, Mcdonalds, Big Cars etc etc etc

8am was not a popular choice but we were greeted as politely as can be expected and promptly started watching an Australian classic called "The Castle" very funny film that I recommend everyone to watch...it gives you the baseline of the Aussie psyche, they are simple folk at heart but good to poke fun at. While we were watching, the house and guests for the day arrived. Mostly people on the course, a family away from family. After the film...a great breakfast began! Mimosa (Sparkling Wine and Orange Juice) flowed as did various egg based dishes, pancakes and BEOREWORS!!! Yes! BOEREWORS! Sourced from the distant highlands of the Adelaide Hills from a thrifty ex-Joburger who has been in Australia 25 years but sounds like he left Joberg yesterday...good spot www.african.com.au

Boerie! Cooked to perfection by yours truely and enjoyed by all!

The Start of A Fun Day

The rest of the day was a fantastic chill out...enjoyed by most, sitting in the sun in the backyard and talking necessary nonesense! Then came great fun, Leah our avid tie-dyer got us all to tie-dye something...gosh what fun! No wonder so many hippies love life! Not too sure on wearing tie-dye but man it is fun doing it! This followed by an Easter Egg hunt and jello shots capped off a good day. I retired at around 2pm for an afternoon nap and felt like a million bucks to enjoy a quiet evening. A Good Friday Indeed!

Again Thanks to All Involved Who Made The Day What It Was!
